This topic explains how to create Integration Credentials which you can then use to connect your native Salesforce Integration Configurations with your Salesforce system. See Configuring Salesforce Integrations.
Warning: Create Connected App in Salesforce First! To create a Salesforce Integration Credential, you'll first need to create and configure a Connected App in Salesforce. For more details, please see the Salesforce documentation on how to do this.
To create Salesforce integration Credentials:
1. Select Integrations:
2. In the Integrations section, select Credentials:
The Credentials page opens in Grid view and any existing Credentials are shown for each external system.
Tip: Credentials List View? Alternatively, you can switch to List view and start your create workflow from there.
3. Select Configure new credentials. The Create page opens at Stage 1: Select a destination and a name.
4. Enter Credential details:
Destination. Use the drop-down list to select Salesforce.
Name. Descriptive name for the Credential.
5. Select Next. The page adjusts to show Stage 1 as checked-off and completed and shifts focus to Stage 2: Configure and create.
6. Under Salesforce Connection, enter the required authentication credentials for connecting to your Salesforce instance:
Subdomain. The subdomain of your Salesforce Org. For example, if you access Salesforce using MyDomainName.my.salesforce.com, then your subdomain would be MyDomainName.
Consumer key. The consumer key obtained from the connected app configured in Salesforce.
Consumer secret. The consumer secret obtained from the connected app configured in Salesforce.
9. Select Create credential. You are returned to the Credentials page Grid view where the Credential is listed on the Salesforce card:
The Credential is now available for connecting your Integration Configuration with Salesforce. See Configuring Salesforce Integrations>Setting Up Authentication for the Integration.
